A dream to help deserving causes

IT WILL be entertainment for a cause on Friday evening at the Guru Nanak Bhavan. Tandem Events and Entertainment is an event management company founded for the realisation of a dream to help deserving causes.

Its primary projects are in aid of the Academy for Severe Handicaps and Autism. With a strong vision of expanding and diversifying its functioning, Tandem Events has its flagship Bus Stop Productions and organises adventure sports, camps, industrial visits, and picnics.

Bus Stop Productions is a multi-faceted innovative theatre group which wants to present its theatrical creations to a growing and discerning audience.

In the true sense of its name, Bus Stop will be a team committed to bringing people together, a shelter for talent, and an outlet to channel creative energy.

Their premiere production, The Bride, is based on a script by H.S. Shivaprakash and directed by J.M. Sandeep.

It will not be all drama. There will also be a performance by a young band, LSD (Lighter Side of Death). The band came together in 2000 with the idea of promoting progressive rock and has over 50 major shows to its credit.

The event is aimed at drawing the attention of music lovers and theatregoers to a worthy cause, an awareness of autism, which is a little understood mental disorder. Proceeds will go to help ASHA (Academy for Severe Handicaps and Autism).

ASHA is a multi-disciplinary task-oriented academy, which provides special education to children with severe disabilities and the care of children with autism is given extra attention.

Tickets for the event are available at all Java City outlets in Bangalore, Cafe de Paris at Alliance Francaise, and Vicky's Collection on Kamaraj Road.

Here is an opportunity for you to help a good cause.
