196 CRPF Sub-Inspectors completes training

Coimbatore: The passing out parade of 196 directly recruited Sub-Inspectors of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) who had completed training would be held at the Central Training College - II of the CRPF at Kurudampalayam on Friday.

A release from A. Padmakumar, Deputy Commandant of CRPF-CTC II, said O. P. Singh, Inspector General of Police, Directorate General of CRPF, will review the parade and commission the trainee officers into the force.

The recruits selected through the Staff Selection Commission, joined the Central Training College-II for their basic training in June 2004.

The training was based on the most modern technology on an interactive mode using the latest gadgets.

The syllabus prescribed for covering both the police and the military sciences was taught to them on a modular pattern.

During the training, the cadets interacted with academicians, journalists, war strategists, eminent police officials and jurists. Study of subjects relating to internal security, global terrorism was also organised.

Awareness on human rights and gender sensitisation were also imparted during the course of training.

The batch comprises 176 males and 20 women.

This would be the 72nd batch to be trained at the CTC-II at Coimbatore.
