KATHMANDU: The Constituent Assembly (CA) meeting resumed on Wednesday after two weeks of obstruction, and the Constitution Amendment Bill was tabled.

Speaking for the first time at a CA meeting, CPN (Maoist) chairman Prachanda said the Bill satisfies the demand of Madhes-based parties. “Though they are not fully satisfied, there is enough room for discussion in the CA,” he said.

Meanwhile, Madhesi Janadhikar Forum chairman Upendra Yadav warned of a third Madhes Revolution if the government did not implement the new Bill. As per the amendment, there would be an autonomous province in the Terai region.
