Empowering English workshop held

A one-day workshop on ‘Empowering English – Classes 1 to 8’ was organised by Coimbatore Sahodaya Schools Complex. It was held at National Model Senior Secondary School, Peelamedu, Coimbatore on June 29, 2018. Mrs. Navamani, President of Coimbatore Sahodaya Schools Complex addressed the gathering and spoke about the importance of the training to teachers. The chief guest for the event was Mrs. Usha Pandit, CEO of Mindsprings Publications.

The session focused on English teaching – learning at pre-primary, primary and secondary classes, how to integrate grammar with skills, poetry, drama etc., and strategies to be used in the class room for child-centred learning. At the end of the session she gave a brief idea of how to use “Empowering English “ texts effectively in the class rooms.
