The 50th KVS Regional Athletic Sports Meet of Chennai region for girls U-14/U-17/U-19 was organised by Kendriya Vidyalaya IIT Chennai at Manohar C Watsa Stadium IIT Madras, recently. Themeet was inaugurated by V. Jagadeesh Kumar, Dean Academics, IITM & Chairman VMC.
Students from four clusters of Chennai region, comprising 230 athletes, participated in the meet.
Events such as javelin throw, hammer throw, discuss throw, triple jump, high jump, long jump, short jump, pole vault, cross country (5km), 4x100m relay, 200m, 400m, 1500m, 3000m, 80m hurdles and 100m hurdles were conducted.
The meet was judged by the officials from the State Athletic Association.
