The CBSE schools in the Sahodaya School complex scheme decided to focus on the students in the primary classes. As a result, The Delta Study, Kochi, organised "Prime Time", a host of competitions for students in Std. III-V, covering eight Kochi schools.

As the theme was "Nurturing Creativity" the school did away with traditional competitions like recitation and story telling. All competitions were held impromptu.

Each team comprised three students representing a student each from Stds. III, IV and V.

There were five competitions. In Art Smart, the theme was "shelter" and the children had to bring out the theme by using paper.

In the literature section, "I met spiderman on MG Road" was the topic.

In "Wag Tongue", spellings and dialogues were tested. Mathematical skills were examined in "Mind's Mine", while in "Hearsee", children had to identify personalities on charts and in the audio round the songs, and voice and speeches of famous people.

Finally, "Pressure Point saw the teams excel while presenting an advertisement on the product — gel pens.

An innovative team even had a jingle to go along with the product as they sang, "Gel pen, it's so wonderful," a take on the popular hymn, "God's love, it's so wonderful".

The winners of this unique competition were Bhavan's Vidya Mandir, Girinagar, and Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Vaduthala.
