Srinivasa Vidyalayam Matric H.S. School, Udumalpet

R. Prina, a Std. XI student of Srinivasa Vidyalayam Matric H.S. School, Udumalpet, won the first prize at the handwriting, colouring and drawing contest conducted at Nachiar Vidyalyam Matric School in Pollachi. Sanchitha Harini G., a Std. XI student from Srinivasa Vidyalaya, won the second prize. The third prize went to Muruga Nandhini P. of Forest Hill Academy Matric H.S. School, V.K. Pudur.

The inter-school competition organised in association with Hindustan Pencils Limited saw the participation of 12 schools in Pollachi Taluk. Students of Stds. I to III participated in handwriting competition, while students of Stds. IV to X took part in the colouring competition. The higher secondary students participated in drawing and the topic was "India's place in the global village."

Carolina Montisinos, graphic designer from Barcelona, Spain, was the judge for the drawing and colouring competition. Arulgananan Sundaram, handwriting expert, Aranthangi, Tamil Nadu, was the judge for the handwriting contest.
