Signal lights — red

What was meant to be a routine traffic stop nearly turned out to be heart-stopper for Colombian cops. When they signalled a lorry to pull over, little did they think it would contain a five-year-old African lion. It was being transported illegally in a wooden cage without any documents or health clearances. The lorry driver claimed that he did not know the animal was being transported illegally; he had been asked to deliver the animal to a ranch in Cordoba. The police have taken charge of the beast, which will be sent to the Pereira Zoo, about 360 km from Bogota.
