Amina of Std. VIII, Nampally Govt Girls High School, and her friends worked hands-on at making their animated story called the "Wonders of the Sea." When they were selected to attend an animation workshop they had nothing more than an interest in Tom and Jerry and Mickey Mouse. "Frankly we had no idea that so much hard work went into the making of an animation film. At the workshop we were first asked to make up a story, then sketch and colour suitable characters, which were part of it. Next came making cut outs of these sketches which were then photographed and projected on a computer screen in an animated form."

Like Amina, 40 children from Std. VIII to XI participated from Government schools of Hyderabad and other parts of A.P. in the two-day workshop held at Jawahar Bal Bhavan on animation. This workshop was part of the recent 14th International Children's Film Festival of India (ICFFI). Inaugurating the workshop was Nafisa Ali Sodhi, Chairperson CFFI. Conducted by master animator and maker of the popular children's film "Hanuman," V.G. Samant gave the youngsters professional tips and encouraged them to consider animation as a career option.
