Legal tender, after all

Gloria Macapagal Arroyo could have done without this. Already beleaguered by her political opponents, the President of Philippines has now seen her name go wrong in the 100-peso currency notes. Instead of Arroyo, her name is spelt "Arrovo". The bills, which were being printed in Europe, were supposed to be out in time for Christmas shopping and the error happened there said bank officials in Manila. Those that are in circulation will be legal tender but the rest will not be released. Some people who noticed the mistake returned the notes, officials said. The country's central bank has offered an apology to the president too.
