Britain's Prince William visited Australia recently. He was welcomed by an Aboriginal elder daubed in body paint and bearing smouldering gum leaves, as he began his first visit to the country in 27 years. Up to 2,000 cheering fans in a poor inner-city Aboriginal neighbourhood in Sydney greeted the prince, who last visited the country in the arms of his late mother, Princess Diana, when he was just nine months old in 1983. Prince William visited the Redfern Community Centre where he read a book to children, who were more than thrilled listening to him.
