Wrong effect

TELEVISION IS a powerful tool for progress but nowadays the programmes televised have the opposite effect on the public. Those programmes neither provide entertainment nor enlighten the viewers. It is hard to digest the ridiculous twists in the serials which are just cashing in on the psychological weakness of middle class housewives. In this scenario, it is appreciable that a few programmes are designed to make people aware of happenings in the world. There is a great need for television programmes to be censored. At the same time, creative programmes have to be encouraged.
