WORRIED ABOUT where to send your children this summer? Here are a few options.

If your child is interested in reading, take him/her to Treasure Island. The lending library located in Trustpuram, Kodambakkam, offers a wide variety of books and magazines. Beginners can delight in picture books and read-aloud stories. For those under 10, there are fairy tales, animal and folk tales, junior classics and the ever-popular Amar Chitra Katha and Tinkle collections. Children can also get to read mystery, horror, adventure and school stories. Established in 1995, Akara organises indoor and outdoor camps. The indoor camps include activities such as effective communication, archery, aerobics, martial art, roller skating, gymnastics, chess, magic, etc, while the outdoor camps focus on confidence building and decision making.
