Martin van Hees tours India with "The Classical Guitar Project" to promote Western music

Chennai Western Music Association presents a classical guitar recital by Martin van Hees from The Netherlands at St. Christopher’s College of Education.  The programme will consist of pieces by Bach, Tarrega, Turina, Mangore, Villa Lobos and Erik Satie.  Martin van Hees graduated from the Royal Conservatory of The Hague in 2014.  He has performed with great success at, amongst others, The Royal Theater and The Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. 

He has taken part in many contemporary music projects such as the prestigious ‘Ligeti Academy’, and contemporary composers have dedicated their compositions to him. 

Currently Martin is touring India with a mission to bring western classical music to the Indian audience under the banner “The Classical Guitar Project”, which involves a series of concerts and master classes in various Indian cities.  

The concert will be held at 63, E.V.K. Sampath Road, Vepery on December 21 at 7 p.m.
