Metro school montage

Children of Visvodaya High School, Meghadripeta, singing an English song as part of the annual function recently.  

Madhuri Bhavana, a class IV pupil of De Paul School, Ukkunagaram, has bagged a silver medal in the `All India Children's Art Competition' conducted by Shankha Foundation, West Bengal. She painted a temple in a village atmosphere in poster colours. The eight-year old has already done two solo exhibitions so far. She has won many awards at the State, National and International levels.

She was conferred the titles, `Wonder kid', `Super kid' and `Child prodigy'. The school principal, Fr. Antony Netikat, the art teacher, Mahesh, congratulated Madhuri on her achievement.

The children of Olivet School, Maharanipeta, participated in the inaugural of the 39th Junior Red Cross week celebrations, which was held on Thursday. Programmes like bob-a-job competitions, awareness on social hygiene, first aid techniques are being conducted. The secretary of JRC, Hyderabad, Ganga Viswanathan, inaugurated the celebrations. She will teach first aid techniques to the children. The celebrations will conclude on Wednesday.

Timpany School celebrated `grand parents day' on the school premises recently. The programme was originally planned on stage but had to be shifted to Founders Hall because of the rains. The grand parents were delighted to see their grand children singing, dancing and enjoying the fun. The programme started with a welcome song and carried on and on with dances, skits and songs.

Later, the invitees were allowed to meet their grandchildren in their classrooms, where they were greeted with flowers and bouquets.

The students of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Steel Plant, have brought laurels to their school in art competitions held in Jammu and Karnataka. The students, D.R. Nanda Gautam, M. Sarat Kumar and V. Swati Kumuda, won gold and bronze medals at the All India Children Art Competition organised by K.V. No. 2, Akhnoor, Jammu. Similarly, N. Mounika, bagged a gold medal in the All India Children Art Competition held at Almatti, Karnataka.
