First day first show

The wait is finally over. After months of rumours and false dawns, Tamil Superstar Rajinikanth’s latest magnum opus, “Sivaji”, is set to hit the screens tomorrow. As is the norm with releases of his, it has been preceded by more than enough hype and the trademark queues have formed outside theatres to get hold of elusive tickets. While he is worshipped in Tamil Nadu, the actor has also managed a massive fan following across the country and even as far away as Japan and China. Bangalore is not left out and the city is home to a large number of his fans.

The film is set for release in the city’s multiplexes and a number of theatres. The actor hit something of a low when “Baba (2002)” failed to live up to his previous commercial success. But he made a comeback with “Chandramukhi (2005)” and the latest release is being tipped to smash records again. The title echoes Rajnikanth’s birth name, Shivaji Rao Gaekwad, as well as that of the legendary Tamil actor Sivaji Ganesan. Rajinikanth has undergone complete makeover for this movie what with Manish Malhotra styling for him. He has even coloured his hair.

The critics as always are waiting. And there are some who just dismiss him as a commercial phenomenon. But if you choose to find out for yourself, head to the nearest theatre.

I have been a big fan of his over the last five years. I have watched all his releases during that time. It is his style of acting that makes him what he is. I am planning to stand in the queue early to get my hands on the first tickets.

I am really looking forward to this movie of Rajinikanth because I feel the combination of the actor and the director is really good.

I have seen all the trailers and I expect the film to offer something new to the fans.

He is the superstar. I really love his style of acting. But the most important thing about him is that every film of his has a message and that really makes it worth watching. I cannot wait for the first day’s first show.

I have watched about seven films of his. The social message that he gives in his movies is very good. That with his style of acting really makes him worth watching. He is looking really young in this coming movie.
