ANNA NAGAR: Christmas fete

CAN - STOP, an outreach programme of Sundaram Medical Foundation, recently organised a Christmas fete for cancer-afflicted children receiving treatment at the Institute of Child Health in Egmore.

The festival set off with music and dance by Andrew and Marie Troop. It was followed by Santa distributing gifts and eats.

Dresses were also given away to the children.

"Can - Stop organises such fetes regularly for these hapless children," says Dr. Vijaya Bharathi Rangarajan, executive director, Can - Stop.

Cancer treatment is often protracted and painful, and these children do need to have some light-hearted moments. Their vaule can never be overestimated, says the doctor.

Can - Stop is located at Shanthi Colony, 4th Avenue, Anna Nagar West.
