Flights of Fantasy, the annual musical extravaganza hosted by Ganjam, will be held at the Chowdiah Memorial Hall between November 17 and 19 (Hindustani music) and from November 24 to 26 (Carnatic music). This is the 10th anniversary of Flights of Fantasy and the Hindustani event begins with a rendition by Rajan and Sajan Mishra, accompanied by Vyasmurti Katti on the harmonium and Ravindra Yavagal on tabla. On November 18 music patrons can look forward to a vocal performance by Ustad Shahid Parvez, accompanied by Jagannath on the tanpura and Yogesh Samsi on the tabla. This will be followed by a concert by Begum Parween Sultana, along with Vyasmurti Katti on the harmonium, Gourang Kodical on the tabla and Jagannath and Sri Desai on the tanpura.The third day, November 19, will feature Ulhas Kashalkar with Suresh Talwalkar on the tabla, Ravindra Katoti on harmonium and Jagannath and Sri Desai on the tanpura. Later in the evening there will be a santoor recital by Shiv Kumar Sharma along with Yogesh Samsi on tabla and Desai on tanpura.The Carnatic bouquet will feature a vocal performance by Bombay Jayashri, Sanjay Subrahmanyan and Nithyashri Mahadevan.
