Zachary turns technophobe

Starring in conspiracy drama Snowden has left Star Trek star Zachary Quinto rather paranoid about technology. The 39-year-old actor says his role in the true story of Edward Snowden who leaked private documents while working for the CIA in 2013 has left him careful about his online security. “I’m certainly more vigilant. I tape up my laptop camera now, which I never did before,” says Zachary, best known as Spock in the new Star Trek films.

“I’ve also changed my passwords, so I don’t have two of the same passwords. We live in an age where technology is king and I think that is only going to continue as it evolves, potentially beyond our ability to control it, and that’s what this movie makes you think carefully about.”
