Audio launch of “Siva Manasula Sakthi”

Yuvan Shankar Raja has come up with some good music in the film “Siva Manasula Sakthi”, after a considerable gap. The film has been produced by B. Srinivasan of Vikadan Talkies and directed by Rajesh. The audio was recently launched by Cheran at Santham theatre and the first copy was received by actor Suriya. Also present at the launch function were eminent personalities from the Tamil film industry.

The film features Jeeva and new face Anuya in the lead. The cinematography has been handled by Sakthi Saravanan and all the six songs have been penned by Na.Muthukumar. Of these, one song has been rendered twice — once by Yuvan Shankar and the second time by Adnan Sami. In fact, the best number of the album is ‘Oru Kal’ rendered by Adnan Sami, though he has some trouble with diction. Yuvan too has done justice to the song.

Another noteworthy number is ‘MGR Ilenga’ sung by Hari Chandran and group. The percussion and other instruments are marvellous in this song. ‘Oru Adangapidari’ sung by Shankar Mahadevan and Shwetha reminds one of songs where male and female voices literally try to outdo each other. But at one point the female voice almost gets drowned by the instruments.

Clinton and Nruthya’s rendition of ‘Eppadio Maatikiten’ is good. ‘Thithikum Theeai’ by KK and Swetha is interesting. Here, it is only KK who sings, while Swetha speaks a few words in the middle of each saranam. ‘Oru Paarvaiyil’, sung by Rajith, is melodious.
