Indian Terrain has come up with a new range for women

The ‘Bombay brigade’ reigned supreme at the fashion show which marked the launch of Indian Terrain’s women’s wear line in Alwarpet. The brigade comprised some top-notch models, Carol Gracias, Candice Pinto, Fleur Xavier, Bhawna Sharma, Amruta Patki and Tamara Moss, and an even hotter brand ambassador, Kunal Kapoor.

Maybe, the best part about owning a high profile store is the entrepreneur gets to pose and spend time with the sizzling brand ambassadors.

Hors d’oeuvres and wine flowed freely as the wait for the event to start continued endlessly. Finally, it did after an hour’s delay. Amidst loud hooting, mostly from the ladies, Kunal opened the door and ushered the gathering in for a dekko at the fashion show which showcased Indian Terrain’s women’s wear collection. Apart from clothes, bags and belts were displayed by the leggy models.

The range is targeted at young women aged between 25 and 35 who live in the metros and wear chic clothing to work and for social occasions. The collection, therefore, included work casuals, and young, sporty and relaxed wear in mustard, light brown, beige, green and pink, the season’s haute shades.

Coordinated tops, knits, skirts, shorts, waist coats, shirt dresses, trousers and shirts with side belts teamed with bags and belts dominated the show. The pleated formal skirts, the shirt dresses with broad belts and the shorts in bright shades are something the Chennai market hasn’t seen enough of, but are must-haves.

Charath Narsimhan and Anjali Rajgopal were the hosts for the event, which was attended by a number of Chennai’s glitterati, including actors Trisha and Vincent Ashokan, and designer Sidney.
