Matching standards

In India, there is a great potential for software business, with abundant and cheap manpower compared to other developing and developed countries. Due to the fall in outsourcing business, the IT companies in India, which were recruiting lakhs of qualified engineers, are now in a dilemma and are forced to stop recruitment of qualified people. There is a virtual stop to campus recruitments. The situation is unlikely to change over the next two yeas. There is a need to shift focus now on to the pattern of outsourcing to manufacturing sector. For example, equipment of hi-tech nature, like the electronic instruments required for manufacture of computers, broadcasting instruments and cell phones, which are imported from other countries like Israel, China, Japan. The Government should take care to provide world-class infrastructure and training to our engineers and technicians.
