Fill up with colourful fruits and vegetables, the foundation of a healthy diet. They are low in calories and nutrient rich. Fruits and vegetables should be part of every meal, and your first choice for a snack — aim for a minimum of five portions each day.

Calcium and vitamin D should be essential components in your diet. Water is as vital as food. Drink water rather than caffeinated and/or energy drinks. Nothing hydrates you better.

Make exercise a routine. Walk, run, jog or swim. Whatever form of exercise, do it regularly. It is not the weight loss alone; it is about your overall well-being. And, finally set yourself for success and think about the healthier options you can include right into your busy schedule.
