The fifth International Tri-Continental Film Festival is back

Bangalore Film Society in association with Breakthrough TV and Alliance Francaise de Bangalore will present the 5th International Tri Continental Film Festival -- Human Rights in Frames between January 30 and February 1.

Nearly 28 acclaimed films from across three continents that navigate through the excesses and damages of our times, history and the present, to find the images and dialogues of hope, humanity and an inspiration for a better future will be screened. Screenings on all three days begin at 10.30 a.m. and go through the day up to about 9 p.m. Directors of some of the films will also be present for discussions after the screening.

It will be inaugurated by Suresh Heblikar, well known actor and environmental activist. There are four sections in the festival this year. They are Body Public, which explores the engagements of the human body with the public sphere, Not All In Good Faith, The Line That Defines, and Zones of War.

Some of the films that will be screened include “Brides of Allah”, “On That Day”, “Flying Inside My Body”, “War Made Easy”, “Morality TV and the Loving Jihad-A Thrilling Tale”, “Undercover in Tibet”, “The Sari Soldiers”, “Forbidden Sun Dance”, “Bound By Promises: Contemporary Slavery In Rural Brazil”, “Buddha Collapsed Out Of Shame”.
