Calling young designers

Here’s a chance for students of Architecture and Interior Design to showcase their designs

Nippon Paint announces the launch of the Asia Young Designer Award (AYDA) contest. Formerly called the Nippon Paint Young Designer Award, the contest aims to identify talent among students of Architecture and Interior Design across the country.

Participants will have to create a unique design for architects, interior designers, commercial buyers, and the community alike. This year’s theme is ‘Be Bold. Be Free. Be You’.

Entries will be judged based on how green and sustainable the concept is and the colour concept.

The short-listed national winner will get an opportunity to take part in an Asia-Pacific-level contest.

The winner will get a cash prize of US$1,000, a six-month internship with IJM Land Berhad, a leading property developer in Malaysia, and a trip to Bali for a learning programme.
