Omaxe Shoot Miss India Calendar 2009 features models posing against construction sites

Misses of India unite. You have nothing to lose and a pose to strike. All for a high-end Omaxe Shoot Miss India Calendar 2009, that has just hit the market and promises to give the mighty Kingfisher calendar some healthy competition. The calendar features Miss Indias of every possible hue and denomination. Included among them are Miss World 1st runner up 2008, Simran Kaur Mundi — Pantaloon Femina Miss India Universe 2008, Tanvi Vyas — PFMI Earth 2008, Radha Bhrambhatt — PFMI International 2008, Sireen Farooq — PFMI Finalist 2008 and Kajal Jain — PFMI Finalist 2008.

Topping the list in the Omaxe Shoot Miss India Calendar 2009 is Parvathy Omanakuttan. Interestingly, even as other calendars choose the most picturesque locations, Omaxe has taken a different path. The models have been taken to construction sites where they have been shot against the backdrop of under-construction buildings. Charudutt Chitrak, who is the lensman behind the pictures said: “Shooting for the calendar was a great fun and experience in itself. It was quite adventurous. Seeing one picture for a whole month will not make you feel bored, it has so many angles to explore that each day you will find a new angle and perspective to look at. The pictures show different shades of a woman. The calendar is a celebration of womanhood.”

Parvathy Omanakuttan’s take is, “Shooting for the calendar in these locations was a very challenging task for the girls. Wearing high heels, walking in muddy and sandy paths with broken stones lying around, but the girls took it quite sportingly. The pictures show the character of an independent woman.”

Exquisite Satya Paul gowns add to the whole look. The calendar is in its second year of production.
