Reviving an old script

As part of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s ongoing drama festival, in memory of veteran director K. Balachander, TV Varadharajen’s United Visuals will stage the Tamil play Kasalavu Nesam , today, 6.30 p.m., at Bhavan’s auditorium. The play was originally titled Matrum palar , and has been written by Vedham Pudhidhu Kannan. It has been revived and suitably changed to cater to today’s audience.

The play will be also staged at other venues across the city in July and August. Details July 16: Narada Gana Saha (for Kartik Fine Arts); July 24: Ranjani Hall, Nanganallur (for S.V.Ramani Music and Fine Arts); August 1: Mylapore Fine Arts Club; and July 12: Vani Mahal.
