KARTHIK SEEN on location at Kushaldas Garden for Udaya Cine Arts' "Kashmir", looked lean and young. The story is about a singer who wants to make it big not only in India but across the globe. He gets a break and is catapulted to the top. On his way to New York to receive an international award he is arrested at the airport on the charge of being a terrorist. He proves his innocence and also breaks a nefarious plan to destroy the country.

"Karthik as the singer has done a memorable job," says director Gowri Manohar, who has written the story and the screenplay. This is his first film as director. The producers, A. R. Mohan and Nannilam Jothi, are not new to industry, as they have worked as production executives for more than a decade. But this is their first film as producers. Brimming with confidence, Karthik said, "The film is bound to do good business and will certainly be a box office hit. The screenplay and the way the director has presented it in a new angle are sure to appeal to the masses."
