FRIDAY REVIEW

Arrogance with a mission

STAR-STUDDED: Thimiru

S. R. ASHOK KUMAR

The Thimiru unit is quite upbeat about the way the film is shaping up.

Vishal was running away with a determined Shreya in hot pursuit. The setting at the AVM Studio was supposed to resemble Kutralam, with the dim light and an artificial waterfall. Art director V. Selvakumar, observing the proceedings from waist deep water, was giving instructions to his assistants. GK Films' ``Thimiru" is progressing at a good pace. The production controller Venky introduced debutant director Tarun Gopee who has worked with some of the well-known names such as A.Venkatesh, Sakthi Chidambaram and others.

Team work

The director said, "Every body has a streak of arrogance (thimiru). The hero is no exception. But he has a mission to accomplish. The story is all about how he does it. Vishal and other artistes are working hard to help me translate my ideas on screen. I am very fortunate to have some of the best talents in the field, for instance, Reema Sen, Shreya Reddy of SS Music fame, Vadivelu, `Nizhalgal' Ravi and so on. I.M.Vijayan, former captain of the Indian foot ball team makes a special appearance."Vishal, happy with the success of "Sandakozhi," said the viewers can look forward to something interesting. "I was impressed with the script and the way Tarun Gopee told me the story. The entire unit, from my brother Vikram Krishna, producer, to the light boy is working like a family. The film has everything that is needed to make it a box office hit." Shreya Reddy is pleased with her role. Producer Vikram Krishna is happy that shooting is going on according to schedule. He considers the Vishaal-Reema Sen-Shreya as a winning combination. "Kiran has done a beautiful number," he reveals. Yuvan Shankar Raja's tune wafts in the air and Shreya and Vishaal start the cat-mouse game all over again.
