Veda Parayanam

Special programmes have been organised in connection with Akshaya Thritiyai at Puliyur, Nagapattinam.



A two-day ‘Sampoorna Sri Krishna Yajurveda Parayanam’ and special tirumanjanam will be conducted at Sri Lakshminarayana Perumal, Venugopalaswamy and Vijaya Anjaneyar temple at Puliyur village near Nagapattinam on April 26 and 27 in connection with Akshaya Thritiyai.

The programme has been organised by the trustee of the temple, villagers and Vyagrapuri Veda Paripalana Samiti.

Veda parayanam will begin at 8 a.m. on April 26. On the Akshaya Thritiyai day (April 27), Sri Santhanagopala Manthra homam will be performed in the morning followed by Vasordhara homam and purnahuti at 10.30 a.m. and Maha Deeparadhana, with distribution of prasadam at 11.30 a.m.

The Veda parayanam concludes in the evening. The deity of Sri Venugopalaswamy mounted in the Garuda Vahanam will be taken out in a procession in the evening with nagaswara vidwan S.R.D.G. Samraj and party of Sembanarkovil providing musical support.
