T he Kalaimamani G. Harishankar Admirers Club is conducting a programme in memory of the ganjira vidwan this evening (February 11), 6 p.m., at Ragasudha hall, Luz Avenue, Mylapore. As part of the event, a percussion show titled ‘Our Hearts Beat for Harishankar', composed, conceived and conducted by Ghatam S. Karthick, will be presented. Tributes will be paid by guests of honour Dr. T.K. Murthy and Prof. T.R. Subramaniam. On the occasion, the Kalaimamani G. Harishankar Memorial Award will be given to ghatam vidwan E.M. Subramaniyam. The evening will conclude with a special pallavi recital by Kunnakkudy M. Balamuralikrishna.
