Playing a different character Pawan Kalyan.

P awan Kalyan is back to his entertaining ways in an untitled venture now on the sets at Ramoji Film City.

Dream come true

It is also a dream come true for its producer and actor Ganesh Babu who always dreamt of making a film with Kalyan. Directed by Jayanth C Paranje, the film has two heroines – Trisha and Kriti Kharbanda.

It is a street set that resembles the one that leads to the famous Kasi Vishwanath temple in Benaras created by art director Narayana Reddy and his unit.

Jayanan Vincent's camera focuses on the crowded street with shopkeepers, men and women dressed in typical UP style and priests before zooming in on the lead star as he enters the street with his friends. Pawan Kalyan spots Kriti, a smile crosses his face.

Love story

The director is happy with the outcome and orders for a ‘cut' to can the next block in the scene that leads to a conversation between the hero and Kriti.

“It is a love story but the best one, one that you haven't watched before. You will also find a complete make over in Pawan Kalyan and Trisha's acting style and looks. Pawan Kalyan plays two different characters for the first time in his career. Kriti plays the second heroine and she is apt choice for the character. It is an out and out entertainer with lilting music from Mani Sharma,” said Jayanth during the break.

Based on the Hindi hit, Love Aaj Kal, which again was inspired by the Taiwanese film Three Times, this Telugu version which was originally titled, Kushiga has undergone many changes in the script to make it more entertaining thanks to the innovative screenplay and dialogue by Trivikram, says Ganesh Babu.

“It is an entertainer from Pawan Kalyan on the lines of Kushi. But we have not decided on the title as yet. For the past three years I am dreaming of producing a film with Pawan Kalyan and it has come true today. It will be made almost in a single schedule. From here we move to Benaras, Darjeeling and Patiala before leaving for New Zealand and the U.S. in November where a major portion of the shoot will be done. I am concentrating on the production and not acting in it,” Ganesh throws a happy smile as he moves towards his hero.

Born in Delhi and brought up in Bengaluru, a diploma holder in jewel designing, Punjabi lass Kriti Kharbanda made her screen debut with a Telugu film, Boni opposite Sumanth. After a Kannada movie, Chirru she is naturally happy to bag a role opposite Pawan Kalyan and she finds acting in movies more challenging than modelling.

Ganesh plans to complete the entire shoot before the end of the year and bring the movie to the screens by January.
