A comedy thriller is brewing in the salubrious climate of Ooty.

The pleasant weather of Ooty, an occasional drizzle notwithstanding, made the trip for ‘Panchamritham’ worthwhile.

A house up the hill was the scene of action. And almost all the artists of the film including Nasser, Jayaram, Saranya Mohan and Raju Easwaran were present.

The crew moved outdoor on the second day.

The producer, Abirami Ramanathan, who accompanied the unit, said the film, a comedy thriller, had the Ramayana as the backdrop.

Family entertainer

“We have touched all the departments of film making such as distribution, exhibition and now production. I’m happy that we are producing a film which the entire family can watch.

It is humour all the way. The dialogue is written by Ganapathy.”

Director Raju Easwaran is also doing an important role in the film.

“It is a social film with a good amount of special effects and graphics in it. The narration will be smooth from the beginning to the end. It packs sentiment, drama and comedy. It is a heady mix of mythology and social,” he said.

Good year for Nasser

It has been a good year for Nasser. “I feel ‘Panchamirtham’ will be another hit as it has all the ingredients of a box office thriller. Jayaram, myself, and director Raju Easwaran have worked in tandem to make the film a comedy,” he said. Jayaram said he was enjoying not only his attire (historical costume) but also his dialogue.

The cast of this Abirami Mall production includes hero Aravind of ‘Chennai-28,’ Manobala, Karunas, ‘Ganja’ Karuppu, Mayilsamy, Ilavarasu, Samiksha, Laksha and M.S. Bhaskar. The camera is handled by Pramod while the music is scored by Sundar C. Babu. The story, screenplay and direction are by Raju Easwaran.
