The Department of Opto Electronics under the University of Kerala has invited applications for admission to M.Tech. Opto Electronics course. The last date is November 25. Total seats: 18 (Open - 10, SC / ST - 3, Sponsored - 5. Entry qualification is BE / B. Tech in Electronics / Electrical and Electronics / Electronics and Communication Engineering with 55 per cent marks or M.Sc. Physics / Applied Physics / Electronic Science / Electronics with 55 per cent marks. In the open, quota, 5 seats are earmarked for B.Tech. holders and five seats for M.Sc. holders.

Selection is based on department-level entrance test to be held in Thiruvananthapuram and interview.

The School of Management and Labour Studies of the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) has invited applications for admission to its MA in Human Resources Management and Labour Relations Programme. Admission is based on the entrance test to be held on February 26 in Delhi, Lucknow, Jaipur, Bhopal, Kolkata, Patna, Guwahati, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Nagpur, Bangalore and Hyderabad, followed by a group discussion and personal interview.

Graduates (Minimum 3 Years duration) in arts/ commerce/ medicine/ law/ nursing with 50 per cent marks or in science/ engineering with 55 per cent marks (relaxation up to 5 per cent for SC / ST) are eligible to apply for the entrance test.

MAT 2005, ATMA 2006

Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS) will conduct a test for Management Admissions (ATMA) on February 12, from 2 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. in 21 cities, including Kochi. About 90 institutes accept the ATMA score for admission to Management PG Courses.

The scores of both these tests are approved by the AICTE for admission to Management PG courses.
