COMEDK UGET- 2010

The Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) has invited applications for its Under Graduate Entrance Test (UGET- 2010) to be held on May 9 for admission to MBBS, BDS, BE courses in the private unaided medical, dental and engineering colleges in Karnataka State. Admission is open to all the students across the country.

Eligibility: For MBBS and BDS courses, the applicants should have passed Plus Two / equivalent examination with minimum 50 per cent aggregate marks in physics, chemistry and biology.

For BE courses, the minimum eligibility is a pass in Plus Two / equivalent examination with 45 per cent aggregate marks in physics , chemistry and mathematics. Detailed eligibility criteria can be collected from the website www.comedk.org.

How to apply

Apply online through the website www.comedk.org after obtaining a demand draft for Rs.700 (for medical or engineering, Rs.900 for both courses) drawn in favour of ‘COMEDK' payable at Bangalore. A print out of the online application duly signed along with the demand draft and attested copies of relevant certificates should be sent to COMEDK, 37, First Floor, Ramanashree Chambers, Lady Curzon Road, Bangalore -560001, Karnataka so as to reach the addressee on or before April 10.

COMEDK UGET 2010 will be held at the selected centres in Karnataka State only. Answer key will be published on May 9 and test score will be announced on May 26. Final rank list will be published on June 7. For more details visit www.comedk.org.

Medical degree courses

Applications are invited for all India level medical entrance test for the following medical degree courses conducted by various institutes/ deemed universities.

Yenepoya University, Mangalore - 575018 (Phone 0824- 2204668 / 2204669/ 2204670)

Course: MBBS; duration: four and a half years plus one-year internship; total seats: 100.

Course: BDS; duration: 5 years; total seats: 100.

Last date for submitting filled in application is April 10. Common Entrance Test for MBBS / BDS courses will be held on May 16 at Kochi, Mangalore, Bangalore and Delhi.

These courses are conducted at Yenepoya Medical / Dental Colleges at Mangalore. Yanepoya Nursing College at Mangalore conducts B.Sc. nursing course of four year duration. Total seats: 100. The Yenepoya Physiotherapy College at Mangalore conducts BPT course of four and a half year duration. Total seat: 60. Last date of receipt of filled in application to both these courses is July 15.

Download application forms and other details including eligibility criteria from the website www.yenepoya.edu.in, www.yenepoya.org. A demand draft of Rs.750 drawn in favour of in favour of Yenepoya University payable at Mangalore has to be sent along with duly filled application.

Selection is through an all India level entrance test to be held on May 20 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Entrance test centres will include Kottayam (Kerala), Hyderabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Nagpur, Surat and Indore. Application forms will be distributed from March 20. Application forms and other details can also be downloaded from the website www.kimsuniversity.in . The filled in application should be submitted along with a demand draft of Rs.1,500 by post to the above mentioned address. Last date for receiving completed applications is May 5.

Selection is through an all India level common entrance test to be held on May 1. Test centres will include Kochi, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Pune, Indore and Delhi. The course is conducted atVardhaman Mahavir Medical College and Safderjung Hospital. Selection is based on a common entrance test to be held on May 22 at Bangalore, Delhi, Lucknow, Nagpur and Kolkata followed by the final test to be held on June 13 at Delhi only.
