Institute of Clinical Research (India) has invited applications for the one-year (part-time) Post-Graduate Diploma in Clinical Data Management. Candidates who have graduated in B.Sc./M.Sc. The latest trend in Bollywood filmmaking is its newfound seriousness about visual effects (VFX) that involves extensive detailing right from scripting to the post-production stage. Frameboxx Animation and Visual Effects has announced classes for VFX aspirants which provide a hands-on platform free of cost.

This programme will help students to understand pre-production, live shoot, post-production etc. This will be a four-day exercise with one day dedicated for showcasing VFX works across the globe. The programme will be carried out at Frameboxx centres in Indiranagar, Jayanagar and Malleswaram.

National seminar

The Promise Foundation, in partnership with The Jacobs Foundation, is organising the first Jiva National Seminar, an inter-disciplinary forum that will bring together academics, counsellors, teachers and social activists to deliberate on issues related to Career Counselling and Livelihood Planning.

The seminar is scheduled on February 4 in Bangalore. The Jiva Career Counselling and Livelihood Planning Programme, a project implemented by The Promise Foundation with support from the Jacobs Foundation, will provide the context for the discussions at the seminar.

H. Sudarshan will give away the Jiva Award to M. Baride, Registrar of North Maharashtra University, who led a team of college and university teachers taking career counselling and livelihood planning services to distant villages in the tribal districts of Dhule and Jalgaon. Jija Madhavan Hari Singh, IPS, will release the Jiva Career Counselling Kit that is now available in English and Kannada, and will soon be available in other Indian languages.

“The relevance of career counselling to the Indian context is sharper against the background of the changing economic scenario. Career counselling and livelihood planning are crucial to long-term progress,” says Gideon Arulmani, Director of The Promise Foundation.

New courses

Gupta College of Management and Technology (GcMAT) opens admissions for its new courses in management and technology. They make the student eligible for MBA, eMBA and M.S. (Computer Science) from International American University, Los Angeles.
