The age of Milky, an Indian dog, can be counted only in weeks and months, and not years yet.
The family is distraught, as their pet has been having a case of vomitting and bloody stools for close to two days.
Milky seems to be affected by a case of canine parvovirus. Dr K Akalya administers the dog an injection, hands over medicine to his family, including those meant for rehydration. While she does not want to cause alarm, she insists that they bring the dog every day for the next three.
Later, after Milky has left along with her human family, she remarks: “She will turn around. She is still active. They had brought her just on time.”
Obvoously, this is not the time to have a chat about dog license and ant-rabies shot. It can wait. Let Milky tide over parvo.
