SBI on aggressive ATM card drive

KOCHI: State Bank of India is trying to broadbase its ATM card customers and has opened special counters in Kochi and Kozhikkode says S. Ramakrishnan, deputy general manager. The bank intends to bring 90 per cent of its customers from the teller counter at branches to the ATMs within the next couple of months. It has 80 ATMs in Kerala, which would go up to 180 by the end of next month. The floating ATM in the KSINC Jhankar was a hit, he claimed adding that the bank proposed to install a drive-in ATM in Kochi. At the counters, which would function for the next three days, there will be arrangements for registration for Internet banking facility too.
