Fiat launches Palio NV series

MUMBAI AUG. 26. Fiat India Pvt. Ltd. today announced the launch of the Palio NV (new version), a new series of the flagship model, the Palio petrol 1.2.

On the occasion of the launch, Alberto Montanari, Chairman and Managing Director, Fiat India, said, "The Palio is sold in 40 countries and over 24 lakh cars from the 178 platform family are on the road. We are confident that the launch of the Palio NV will fuel the next phase of growth for Fiat in India.''

Ananda Mohan Gupta, Director, Commercial Fiat India said, "The value added offering and refinements incorporated in the new Palio NV have been based on Fiat's experience with the Palio in other countries, customer feedback and research. The product incorporates several modifications in the car system with a focus on three key areas, namely, the engine exhaust system, the cabin air conditioning system and the vehicle aerodynamics. Besides this, the addition of new features, a new colour and attractive price points, will ensure that the Palio continues to be a frontrunner in the B segment of the Indian market.''

The Palio NV is available in four variants — the EL, EL PS, ELX and Sport.

The NV series boast improved fuel efficiency and is offered in eight colours including a new shade, Passion Purple. The NV series is available across the country from Tuesday. The price details for the four models of the Palio NV (Ex-showroom Delhi) are Palio EL NV at Rs. 3.54 lakhs, Palio EL PS NV at Rs. 3.79 lakhs, Palio ELX NV at Rs. 4.11 lakhs and Palio Sport NV at Rs. 4.35 lakhs.

The company is also offering a new service policy wherein three free services are completed within the first year of ownership of the vehicle. The free service intervals will be: first service at 1000/1,500 km or two months, second at 7,500 km or six months and the third at 15,000 km or 12 months, whichever is earlier.

The earlier policy had no time indicators and offered two free services fixed at 7,500 km and 15,000 km.
