VISAKHAPATNAM: A multi-regional buffet named “Chak-de-India” (taste of India) is being organised by Green Park at its Meadows on the eve of 60th Independence Day celebrations from Sunday to August 15.

Delicacies and exotic cuisines (veg. and non veg.) from various regions and states of the country such as Bisi bale bhath (Karnataka), Kozhimutta Varthada (Kerala), Macchhili Jaismandi (Rajasthan), Tandoori Murgh Lasooni (Punjab), Macharzol (West Bengal), Nellore Chalapala pulusu and Hyderabad Dum Gosht biryani (AP) would be spread on a lavish buffet dinner.

The entrance to the lawns would be in form of Gateway of India in tune with the mood of the festival.

Music with tunes related to the Freedom movement including golden oldies from the late Md. Rafi and melody queen Lata Mangeshkar and A.R. Rahman’s ‘Vande Mataram’ would enliven the spirits of the guests.

Lucky draws and prizes add up to the festivities.
