Four persons of a family died when their car veered off the road and plunged into the Harangi canal in Doddakamarahalli in Periyapatna taluk near here. The family hailed from Napoklu village in Kodagu district. The occupants of the car were Palani Swamy, his wife Sanju, daughter Poornima, and son Nikhil.
