VISAKHAPATNAM: A Legal Aid Cell was constituted by the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) for effective implementation of the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005.
The members of the committee are: R. Kantha Rao (District Judge and Chairman, DLSA), M.R. Saravana Kumar (Senior Civil Judge and secretary DLSA), N. Sambasiva Rao (Police Commissioner), Akun Sabharwal (Superintendent of Police), R. Krishna Kumari (Public Prosecutor, District Court), D. Saraswathi Devi, C. Uma Devi, K.J.V.L.N.P. Ratnam and P.G. Bhavani (advocates), A.E. Roberts (Protection Officer, P.D. & CWDA) and J. Murali, Project Director of DRDA.
