New Delhi: Former Prime Minister Chandra Shekhar, suffering from cancer, is in a critical state. He has been undergoing treatment in the Indraprastha Apollo Hospital for the past three months, hospital sources said.
The 80-year-old Lok Sabha MP has been suffering from cancer and has been under intensive care for the past one week.
Mr. Chandra Shekhar held the office of Prime Minister for only seven months. He resigned on March 6, 1991.
Manmohan pays visit
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Saturday visited Mr. Chandra Shekhar at the hospital here and enquired about his health. — PTI
