IIT-M launches 2 online courses that do not require JEE scores

IIT-Madras has launched two online Bachelor of Science programmes wherein students can secure admissions without the JEE, Union Minister of State for Education, Subhas Sarkar said in the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday. The Minister was responding to an unstarred question raised by Rajya Sabha MP Kanimozhi NVN Somu on exploitation by private coaching centres in higher education. She had sought details of action taken by the government on the mushrooming of private training centres.
