We have been keeping you up-to-date with information on the developments in India and the world that have a bearing on our health and wellbeing, our lives and livelihoods, during these difficult times. Our effort has always been to encourage and enable wide dissemination of news that we consider is in public interest. To this end, we have increased the number of articles that can be read free on our site, and extended free trial periods of our digital offerings.

However, we have a request for those of you who can afford to subscribe: please do so.

As we fight disinformation and misinformation in the digital age, and keep apace with events and happenings, we need to commit greater resources to our news gathering operations that remain independent and free.

Our promise is that our team of hundreds of reporters, editors, fact-checkers, designers, and photographers will deliver quality journalism that stays away from vested interest and political propaganda.
