Sidharth, Rishab in quarterfinals

Sidharth Rawat bounced back to beat Kasidit Samrej of Thailand 4-6, 6-1, 6-3 in the pre-quarterfinals of the $25,000 ITF men’s Futures tennis tournament in Nonthaburi on Thursday.

Rishab Agarwal also made it to the quarterfinals in a similar fashion after losing the first set, as he beat Chanchai Sookton-Eng 3-6, 6-4, 6-4. In the $15,000 event in Singapore, Manish Sureshkumar made the singles quarterfinals and the doubles semifinals.

$15,000 ITF men, Singapore: Singles (pre-quarterfinals): Alec Adamson (US) bt Siddhant Banthia 6-3, 6-0; Maksim Tikhomirov (US) bt Atharva Sharma 6-2, 6-1; Manish Sureshkumar bt Hao Yuan Ng (Sgp) 6-1, 6-2. Doubles (quarterfinals): Siddhant Banthia & Manish Sureshkumar bt Jonathan Gray (GBR) & Hong Kit Wong (Hkg) 6-2, 4-6, [10-3].

$25,000 ITF women, Nonthaburi, Thailand: Singles (pre-quarterfinals): Sabina Sharipova (Uzb) bt Riya Bhatia 6-3, 6-3. Doubles (quarterfinals): Lorraine Guillermo & Tamarine Tanasugarn (Tha) bt Alexandra Bozovic (Aus) & Gabriella Da Silva Fick (Aus) 6-1, 6-3.
