Sanam Singh triumphs

Sanam Singh tamed Sriram Balaji 7-5, 6-3 in the final of the $10,000 ITF men's Futures tennis tournament at the CLTA Complex here on Saturday.

It was the second singles title at this level for Sanam, who had won the previous tournament in December 2005 in Delhi.

Incidentally, both the times, had not dropped a set through the tournament.

The Chief Minister of Haryana, Bhupinder Singh Hooda, presented the prizes, and granted Rs. 21 lakh to the CLTA for refurbishing the synthetic courts.
