Sanam enters final again

Sanam Singh made it to his second successive final as he outplayed the fourth-seeded Kento Takeuchi of Japan 6-3, 6-1 in the $10,000 ITF men's Futures tennis tournament at the Arera Club courts here on Friday.

The unseeded Sanam, ranked an unflattering 776 at the moment, will play Shuichi Sekiguchi of Japan in the final.

Sanam had won the tournament last week back home in Chandigarh without dropping a set the whole week.

The results:

Singles (semifinals): Sanam Singh bt Kento Takeuchi (Jpn) 6-3, 6-1; Shuichi Sekiguchi (Jpn) bt Jordi Munoz-Abreu (Esp) 7-5, 5-7, 7-5.

Doubles (final): Sriram Balaji and V. M Ranjeet bt Vijay Sundar Prashanth and Arun Prakash Rajagopalan 7-6(5), 3-6, 10-6.
