Third-seeded Indian duo of Y. Pranjala and Rutuja Bhosale shocked top-seeded pair of Naiktha Bains of Australia and Barbora Stefkova of Czech Republic 2-6, 6-0, [10-6] in the women’s doubles final of the ITF $25,000 tennis tournament at the National Tennis Development Centre here.

However, in the singles semifinal, Pranjala fell to Wang Xiyu of China 6-3, 2-6, 6-2.

Qualifier Niki Poonacha made the final with a 7-6(4), 6-0 victory over seventh seed Jeremy Beale of Australia in the $25,000 ITF men’s Futures tennis tournament in Indonesia. In the final, the 23-year-old Niki will play unseeded Michael Look of Australia.In the $60,000 ITF women’s event in China, Ankita Raina was beaten 7-6(2), 6-4 by second seed Wang Yafan of China.

$25,000 ITF men, Jakarta, Indonesia: Singles (semifinals): Niki Poonacha bt Jeremy Beale (Aus) 7-6(4), 6-0.

Doubles (semifinals): Justin Barki & Christopher Rungkat (Ina) bt S.D. Prajwal Dev & Mohit Mayur 6-2, 6-2.

$15,000 ITF men, Sintra, Portugal: Singles (quarterfinals): Tiago Cacao (Por) bt Terence Das 6-0, 6-3.

$60,000 ITF women, Jinan, China: Singles (quarterfinals): Wang Yafan (Chn) bt Ankita Raina 7-6(2), 6-4. Doubles (semifinals): Shu-Ying Hsieh (Tpe) & Lu Jing Jing (Chn) bt Anastasia Gasanova (Rus) & Ankita Raina 6-4, 6-7(5), [10-5].

$25,000 ITF women, Nonthaburi, Thailand: Singles (semifinals): Wang Xiyu (Chn) bt Y. Pranjala 6-3, 2-6, 6-2.
