Bopanna and Cuevas enter last eight

Rohan Bopanna and Pablo Cuevas of Uruguay beat wild card entrants Philipp Kohlschreiber and Max Mirnyi 6-2, 6-1 to reach the quarterfinals of the €2.6 million ATP Tour event on Thursday.

In the quarterfinals, the two will play the top seeds Lukasz Kubot of Poland and Brazil’s Marcelo Melo.

Divij Sharan and Scott Clayton of Great Britain made the doubles semifinals in the €106,000 Challenger in Brest (France) while Leander Paes and Purav lost a close match 10-3 in the super tie-break in the quarterfinals.

In the $75,000 Challenger in China, Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan, seeded No.1

with Christopher Rungkat of Indonesia made the doubles semifinals.

In the ITF Futures in Malaysia, Arjun Kadhe made the quarterfinals,

while lucky-loser Kaza Vinayak Sharma went down fighting to the top seed Scott Griekspoor of the Netherlands.

In the $60,000 ITF women’s event in China, Ankita Raina in partnership with Dalila Jakupovic of Slovenia made the doubles semifinals, and will challenge the top seeds.
